The Unforgotten

Concert March

By

Leonard Duarte

This is a concert march for Symphonic Band composed to honor the flag that represents all P.O.W. and M.I.A. men and women who unselfishly gave so much for their country from the Second world War through Desert Storm. This March opens with a bombastic introduction followed by a somber first strain in G minor. There are dramatic dynamic contrasts between soft woodwinds and powerful brass statements, until the entrance of the triumphant Trio in G major. The "Dog-fight" and ending strain demand maximum strength and agility from the brass and high woodwinds.
