El Fuego De Amor (Love’s Fire) is an exciting new piece
for Symphonic
Band that captures the flavor of "Flamenco" dance. It is a
Spanish march in 3/4;
harmonically and rhythmically simple; full of passion, energy and
excitement.
After a fiery introduction with mixed meters, the main theme is
introduced in the trumpets. The theme is developed while high woodwinds
embellish a
counter melody that modulates to the dominant key. The Trio presents a
beautiful
"Andalucian-like" tune in the low woodwinds which leads to a
powerful theme in
the low brass. The piece returns to its tonic and ends with a glorious
finale
that exalts the splendor of Spanish music.
This piece is suitable for Concert or Festival.
